Mine is definitely a heartbeat, but a swooshing kind of a pulse. I was even checked for a brain tumor. Mine is also in my left ear and only when I lie on that side and then not all the time. I take blood pressure medication and have it checked regularly. Does anyone know do these ear symptoms sound like an ear infection or are they symptoms due to having a swelling on the brain? thanks. I went to see GP back in July last. The vertigo lasted for about four weeks then recovered but the double vision took many more weeks. My buzzing started last Sunday, without pain (just a very little bit), and I struggle to sleep for the first 3 nights. After the concert was over I had some deafness but nothing too alarming. It is just like a heartbeat sound, and is in time with my pulse. I will be back to post updates.

Hearing got very difficult, like sounds have a hard time getting past the WHOOSH WHOOSH. I think i would hear just fine not be for the loud whooshing sound. I have had one or two toes that suddenly hurt like gout pain (and interestingly have had the exact same digit finger(s) as the painful toe(s) be as extremely sensitive to touch with that same gout type pain lasting for days and other times only hours. It does not do this any longer, but both feet can become suddenly lazy and cause trips as they do not respond as normal.
